Club SciKidz is introducing several new camps that include:
Camp Young Bot Programmer Grades 1-2
Our NEWEST addition of Robots! Meet “Dash and Dot” and experience a whole different way of programming robots. Using games with animation and stories, kids learn to program these bots with light, sound, sensors, and movement, understand the basics of coding, and are introduced to the world of computer science fundamentals. Programming is thought to be the next language that all campers need to learn and we make it fun!
Camp Little Coder Grades P-K
Our Camp Little Coder utilizes the KIBO robot, which introduces children to coding by allowing children to program and decorate their robots in creative ways that suit their interests. These are robots that teach kids to code even before they can read and write.
Camp WaterBotics Grades 6-8
WaterBotics is an innovative, underwater robotics camp curriculum. Teams of students work together to design, build, program, test and redesign underwater robots, made of LEGO® and other components. Students engage in a series of design challenges or “missions” that gradually increases in complexity and ultimately leads to a fully functional underwater robot capable of maneuvering in a three-foot deep pool. This introduces students to the concept of iterative design and demonstrates the value of testing and redesign.
