FAQ / How does Club SciKidz deal with the summer heat?

October 12, 2014 by

Safety measures include:

  • Club SciKidz personnel will ensure that hats are being worn if campers bring a hat to camp. If the Permission to  Apply Sunscreen  has been signed by parent/guardian, the Director(s) will assist in reapplying sunscreen.
  • Children at all camp sites will have regular access to water fountains or drinking water taps. Campers should remember to bring their own water bottles and to fill up throughout the day.
  • Club SciKidz counselors will plan lower activity games/activities when the sun is the strongest and will take advantage of shaded areas throughout the day.

In addition, please download our Guidelines for Outdoor Play.
